Description

Situated in the Wu Kai Sha area of greater Hong Kong, Lake W is embodied by the notion of the jewel ten unique floating glass pavilions and water courtyards which elevate the facility beyond the typical commercial and resort development. The Lake W project is presented here in its entirety from design genesis to final presentation. The interactive design process took place on three continents, and is here represented through concept sketches, parti diagrams and images of the digital design model. The multi-disciplinary team, including ORO Studio, Office dA and Methanoia Studio, was rooted in collaboration and a layered evolution of design ideas which can be discovered in this volume. A full presentation of the project, including presentation drawings and full colour plates, is included, as well as written contributions from Daryl Ng and Rodolphe el-Khoury. This volume is the perfect companion to the Lake W project, currently under construction and expected to be complete in two years.
