Description
The best Passive House architects are masters of integrated design, searching for aesthetic beauty on the one hand and technical excellence on the other. No longer can it reasonably be considered adequate for buildings to look good in photographs, while performing badly in terms of their comfort or resource consumption.
An Introduction to Passive House contains essays and international case studies that reveal the technical and creative secrets of Passive House design. It serves as an introductory text to the subject, covering the key topics and issues; dispels the widespread myths and misconceptions; and will ultimately inspire architects, developers and clients alike, with case studies of aesthetically breath-taking projects from around the world.

It explains key elements of Passive House standard in a straight forward, easy to follow manner which makes it ideal for students or anyone who is not familiar with the concept to comprehend.

In this book, Justin Bere uses the language of an architect accented by numerous photos, drawings and examples. He rigorously dispels widespread misconceptions and shows how Passive House opens new possibilities for creative design. I hope that this book find many readers who will walk away inspired and motivated by the examples portrayed in it.

This is a brilliant book for students and practitioners who do not know where to start for passive house. Although it is an introductory book it provided me with important and necessary knowledge from the origins of passive house to real life examples.
