The Fees Bureau's Architects Fees survey report is now in its eleventh annual edition, presenting fee data for over 40 market sectors. Only with this guide will you find out what the average 'going rates' are currently being charged by other private architectural practices. These will help you when you set your own fees for a job - especially useful in the often uncompromisingly brutal world of fee competition.
Fee rates are analysed by building type (new build or refurbishment) and contract type (traditional or design & build). In addition hourly charge-out rates are analysed for different types of staff, by region and by size of practice. The data is shown visually in a chart, plotting construction cost against percentage fee and showing an average fee line, which is a line of best fit based on an analysis of the raw survey data.
The 2009 edition comprises 131 charts and 30 tables. Separate charts are presented for each of the 43 market sectors.
