Description
Bernard Cache, born in 1958, studied at the cole Politechnique Fdrale des Lausanne and at the cole Suprieure des Sciences conomiques et Commerciales under Gilles Deleuze. He founded together with Patrick Beauc the office Objectile. Cache has realised various different projects, including a residential building in Kuala Lumpur, an extension to Schiphol Airport (together with Ove Arups office) and cash terminals for the French Railway.
Scientific research concentrates on materials, their manufacture and utilisation, and since its formation Objectile has been working on technologies for a 'Non-Standard Architecture', where the project consists of a model whose primary elements vary on the basis of invariant relations between them. The Gestalt is altered according to the characteristics of the specific project. They also manufacture their own components, having started with panels for decorative cladding.
In this book Objectile presents for the first time a comprehensive survey of their current work within the scope of the Consequence series.
