Description

This catalogue booklet with detachable postcards and its accompanying exhibition Den Ol Bod Ose are the culmination of a six month long project that has used photography to document one element of a significant period of West African history. They offer a record of the fast disappearing Creole Architecture of Freetown, Sierra Leone. The booklet is part of a wider archival project and its two 1,500 word texts offer a historical and a personal perspective to complement the 12 colour photographs taken by Tim Hetherington and Sullivan Khallon. This is a unique document of buildings most of us are unlikely to have seen before.
