Description
As the anticipation mounts, the excitement builds, the metatarsal heals, so the books on stadia come. This title presents a hefty 62 football grounds, starting with a reasonably detailed look at each of the German World Cup stadia and then flying round Europe, from Milan to Wembley with many points between, for a more or less whistlestop tour of the biggest clubs. It's good to see eastern Europe well represented; in that respect this book is more democratic than the 'Champions League' seeding system. This is more of a skim than a detailed examination, but where else will you find information on the Arena AufSchalke and the grounds of HJK Helsinki and Steaua Bucharest in the same volume?
