Description

Recently opened with much pomp and ceremony the Hermitage Amsterdam forms one of the dependences of its mother museum, the celebrated Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia, and will exhibit treasures drawn from this principle collection. Formerly a retired peoples home, the museum building which was renovated by Hans van Heeswijk architecten, is explored here through interior and exterior photographs along with plans, elevations and details of the building.
