'Interiors: Country and City' is a fantastic interior design reference book showcasing an eclectic mix of stunning interiors from around the world authored and edited by Piet Swimberghe and with wonderfully rich photography by Jan Verlinde. Setting it apart from the shelves of other interior design reference books is the warmth and accumulated layering that is visible in the projects. These are not sanitised show-homes free from the realities of everyday life, but real homes where the style and decoration is refined and perfected through the time the residents have spent living there. This is illustrated by the fact that there are even some photos showing the owners in their homes, using their spaces as they would in their real lives. As the titles suggests, half the projects are set in the country and half are in cities, but in reality, the range of styles on show is much broader; from Medieval to Mid-Century Modern, Moroccan to Scandinavian, Chateau to Loft, and Über-Modern to Cottage. this collection of projects has something for everyone, and something for every interior.
