Description

This publication is one of the first to examine, in depth, the Albers little known but pioneering creations for the home. During their time at the Bauhaus School, and throughout their extraordinary career in America, they produced a wide range of innovative furniture, textiles and household objects, such as abstract wall hangings, greeting cards and jewellery. From the artists own writings, the book shows that the Albers where a huge part of Modernism, and believed that every detail of how we live and every aesthetic choice, affects the way we live and quality of our daily lives.

This book covers their more innovative domestic projects, some of which have never been previously published, making it an absorbing survey of their numerous achievements.
