Many of Kengo Kumas works are characterised by a refined use of wood and a profound understanding of its nature as a building material. This book presents the main works of Kengo Kuma, showing in particular how he uses wood in his architecture. The book features built projects only, the most recent of which is the 'Bamboo Wall' (2002) in Beijing, China, a unique philosophical work constructed in bamboo.
