Description

Sustainable Architecture is a highly illustrated publication which provides architects with the inspiration they need to deliver sustainable buildings. The book includes a series of case studies which highlight examples of good design and sustainability working hand in hand.

Broken down into five sections: Work Spaces, Education Buildings, New Housing, Refurbished Housing and Public Buildings, the case studies within each section demonstrate a wide variety of approaches to design and technical issues, where many of the projects featured are considered cutting edge going well beyond Building Regulations requirements and adopting innovative technologies such solar energy collection, biomass heating and grey water recycling.

The book, although principally aimed at those involved in procuring buildings: clients, developers, agents, architects, engineers, quantity surveyors ad contractors, will also appeal to professors, lecturers and students and those who have a general interest in sustainable design and the environment.
