Description
In recent years, Ferrater's studio has developed new avenues for formal expression. This collection of projects comprises a family of independent experiences joined by a common logic of design approximation - geometry as a means of approximating landscape and urban forms. It aims to define the conditions whereby the job of architecture is to move from geometry to space by means of construction.
In depth examinations of 11 projects include the Barcelona Botanical Garden, Montjuic Heights, Benidorm Seafront and other work. There is also a tracing of 20th century geometries in general. Lots of plans and models make up a futuristically produced tome.
