Description
Urban Spaces: New City Parks features over thirty imaginative and innovative landscaping projects from around the world. Including the Millennium Park in Chicago, USA, designed by Frank Gehry, amongst others; the Interpolis Garden in Tilburg, Netherlands by West 8; and the Park of Colours in Mollet del Valles, Spain by Enric Miralles & Benedetta Tagliabue, these projects have created meaningful new environments, enhancing the locations characteristics and inviting people to a creative re-evaluation of the place they inhabit.
Profusely illustrated with colour photographs and plans, with comments from the architects, Urban Spaces: New City Parks allows professionals or students involved in landscape design to achieve an understanding of the field, with application to a wide variety of scales and contexts.
