Description
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) is the oldest and most influential architectural institution in the world with 33,000 members. It exists to advance architecture and promote excellence in the profession.
The RIBA has been awarding the President's Medals since the 1850s and were established in their current form in 1984. The aim of these prestigious awards is to promote excellence in the study of architecture, to reward talent and to encourage architectural debate world-wide. Widely regarded as the best student awards in the world, students aspire each year to be selected by their school to enter for the medals and for the opportunity for their work to be recognised and publicly exhibited.
This book includes details about those who were shortlisted for the prize in 2003. It also includes information about Schools of Architecture with courses recognised by the RIBA. This takes the place of the previous Schools of Architecture booklet and President's Medals booklet.
