Edition Bløndal has been publishing art books since 1985, particularly on Nordic art, and in 1998 it began publishing books of architecture. Utzon. Inspiration Vision Architecture was released in 2002 and, to promote a full understanding of the humanity and attention to craft that is evident throughout Jørn Utzon’s work, the Jørn Utzon Logbook series has been introduced. These books, with Utzon himself as editor-in-chief, document major projects in comprehensive detail.

Edition Bløndal has been nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2011. This prize is awarded to outstanding products and services in the field of communication design.
